1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that on 3 occasions in July and August 2022, a hovercraft survey will be conducted on the mudflats in and around Wootton Creek Isle of Wight. The purpose of the survey is to carry out opportunistic macro algae analysis to assess the ecological condition of the creek.

2. The hovercraft conducting the task will be the “INSPECTOR B” (LOA 5.7m) see below. Due to the way the hovercraft is operated, harbour speed limits will be exceeded and may travel at up to 15 kts. The work will be carried out from on the following dates / time:-

Friday 15 July 0509 to 1100.
Wednesday 3 August 0630 to 1230.
Wednesday 17 August 0630 to 1200 (Contingency day)

3. The vessel will be listening to VHF channel 11 throughout and keep well clear of all other craft using the creek. It is planned to launch and recover the craft from the Wightlink Terminal slipway.

4. QHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of the vessel’s area of operation and may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723694 for the latest information.
