LNTM No 41/22

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Habitat Surveying operations will be conducted by Seastar survey on behalf of Southern Water in the eastern Solent between Gilkicker Point and the entrance to Chichester Harbour (including Langstone Harbour) from 28 March to 30 April 2022.

2. The survey will be carried out using the grey multi-hull vessel "VALKYRIE 6" (LOA 11.0m) operating in daylight hours only. It is possible that a towed array may be deployed but this will not make the vessel restricted in ability to manoeuvre. For the purposes of the COLREGs, the vessel should be treated as a “power-driven vessel”. The aim of the survey is to complete broadscale habitat mapping of the subtidal seabed.
