1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth that a Stand Up Paddle Board transit across the Solent will take place on Thursday 16 September 2021, between Ryde Sands and Stokes Bay.
2. One stand up paddle boarder will be participating in the crossing. The paddler will be accompanied by two kayakers acting as support craft. The lead support vessel is ‘PADDLE CONTROL / ANDIAMO’ a 9m motor cruiser. There will be another 4.8m grey/orange RHIB as a support vessel. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Ch11 and Ch12 throughout.
3. The route is from Ryde Sands to Stokes Bay, starting at 1030 and completing by approximately 1400.
4. In case of poor weather on Thursday 16 September the crossing will take place on Friday 17 September.
5. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass well clear of the paddlers and the support craft during their crossing of the Solent.
