Royal Navy supports Football v Homophobia

Sailors and Royal Marines backed football's efforts to kick homophobia off the pitch during a visit to Portsmouth FC's Fratton Park.
Fratton Fever, Pompey's LGBT supporters' group, invited the Naval Service to an event at the club's grounds in support of Football v Homophobia.
Portsmouth has backed the campaign for the past five seasons and more than 30 fans were invited for a behind the scenes tour, including representatives from the Royal Navy’s sexual orientation and gender identity network Compass, as well as Hampshire Police, the University of Portsmouth and Victory Hants.
Petty Officer Carol Morton, from Compass, said: "We were thrilled to be invited to Fratton Park to show the Royal Navy's support for Football v Homophobia.
In the Royal Navy we welcome all talent regardless of sexual orientation and it was great to see that Portsmouth Football Club shares our values too.

Football v Homophobia works with clubs to celebrate the contribution the LGBT community makes to the game.
The Royal Navy and Royal Marines were this year again named as one of the top 100 employers for the LGBT community in the UK.
