Deserving children enjoy exclusive preview of sultan summer show

Over 2,000 disabled and deserving children were treated to an action packed evening of entertainment on Friday at the HMS Sultan Summer Show’s Children’s Party.

As a long standing event within the Establishment’s calendar, the Children’s Party offers those attending an exclusive preview of the upcoming HMS Sultan Summer Show.

Additionally, The Party remains the only event where sailors are given permission to dress as pirates, as the children in attendance get to enjoy some swashbuckling fun.

Packed full of live entertainment The Children’s Party included several displays from acts appearing at the this weekend’s Summer Show, including John Lawson’s Circus and the Gosport Tigers Motorcycle Display Team. 

It is a wonderful event to be involved with and you can just see in so many of the Children’s faces how much fun they are having.

In addition, youngsters enjoyed a free Fun Fair, the Fun and Games Arena and interactive air frames displays.

The Executive Officer of HMS Sultan Commander Mark Hamilton said: “We are delighted to be able to host all of our invited guests at the HMS Sultan Summer Show Children’s Party. “

“The Party provides a safe and friendly environment for all the families to enjoy an evening of entertainment.

“It is a wonderful event to be involved with and you can just see in so many of the Children’s faces how much fun they are having.”

“For everyone at HMS Sultan, the Party marks the start of three days quality entertainment which is provided for the benefit of the local community.

“The HMS Sultan Summer Show runs throughout Saturday and Sunday and raises much needed funds for charities and good causes so we hope lots of people will come along and support us. “

The HMS Sultan Summer Show runs across the Father’s Day weekend with gates open both days at 10:00. Around 25,000 visitors from across Hampshire will make their way to Gosport to be entertained by a wide variety of acts, including amazing stunts from the Squibbs Freestyle motor cycle display team, Atkinson Action Horses and Rockwood Dog Display Team.

There’s lots’ going on at the Show throughout the weekend Including a Steam Fayre, a Craft Fayre, a new Adrenaline Zone complete with its own High line Zip wire and a reverse air bungee and more.
