HMS Collingwood’s Cross Country Competition last week provided the opportunity for individuals to compete for the chance to represent the base at the forthcoming Regional Championships.
The event, which was organised by Leading Physical Trainer (LPT) Daniel Appleby, saw 140 competitors from across the base complete a 3 ½ mile race around the establishment.
After a vigorous warm-up session led by LPT Appleby, the race was officially started by Commander Thomas Tredray.
All 140 of the runners thoroughly enjoyed the event and we only hope that the sport can grow in the Navy
