Natalie Pearn of ‘Diva HD’ brought ‘Boogie Bounce’ to Culdrose for trainees and workers on the Air Station to try out a session.
“Boogie Bounce is a complete work out on a mini trampoline with a safety bar, choreographed to disco music,” said Natalie.
“It’s a low impact way to stay fit and really good fun for everyone. You end up using not just your legs but Bums and Tums as well.”

Natalie was invited to the Station’s Gym to show the new fitness craze by the Physical Training staff at the Base, who like to give personnel wide variety of choice in their fitness programmes.
Bouncing on a mini trampoline is unlike regular trampolining; the aim is not to bounce high or perform gymnastic tricks, but to perform a series of small controlled movements.
‘Boogie-Bounce’ is dancing with intervals of jumping, bouncing and stomping, to name but a few moves, performed to music and a set programme.
The mini trampoline is used as a resistance tool, making the whole programme two to three times more effective than a normal everyday aerobics class.
Anyone and everyone can do this at their own pace whilst gaining the impressive health results that are normally associated with high impact aerobic classes.
Natalie added, “Sessions can be tailored to meet a groups’ needs, but 30 to 50 minutes are normal. With the music and lights it’s more like going out on a Friday night.”
