The band won the Commander-in-Chief Trophy for the best all-round Volunteer Band in the Royal Navy, beating seven other ensembles to the title.
The day-long festival started with marching displays in Guildhall Square followed by concert performances inside the Guildhall in the afternoon.
It was also a good day for HMS Nelson, with its band scooping four awards for best drum display, best marching display, best musical marching band performance and the Daedalus Trophy for the spirit of the RN Volunteer Band Association.
It was a very enjoyable day and the standard of the performances was very high.
Warrant Officer Class 1 Tom Hodge
Warrant Officer Class 1 Tom Hodge, of the Royal Marines Band Service who helped organise the event, said: “It was a very enjoyable day and the standard of the performances was very high.
"There was also a good turnout from members of the public, particularly for the marching displays in the Guildhall Square.”
The Royal Naval Pipers Society also showed off their talents, performing twice throughout the day in the square.
