Sailors enjoy naval tradition at Collingwood

20 December 2016
It was an evening to remember at HMS Collingwood recently when Junior Rates and EDF personnel joined together to experience a naval tradition – Christmas dinner served by Naval Officers and members of the Babcock Academy Management Team!

This time honoured tradition was supported by members of the Collingwood Volunteer Band who provided the carols, and together with the ESS HOWE building staff who worked tirelessly, the whole evening was a great success.

One of the sailors dining with his colleagues was Able Seaman Kieran Rutty, 19, he said “This is a great, it makes it different to every other meal being served by the Officers, and the food’s really good.”
