Captain gives end of term address to 540 Victory Squadron

The Commanding Officer of HMS Collingwood, Captain Catherine Jordan, has just delivered her end of term address to 540 Phase 2 trainees of Victory Squadron.

The address took place on the establishment’s parade ground to adhere to PHE guidelines and all Force Health Protection measures remained in force.

Giving the sailors an update of current RN activities across the world, future initiatives and the latest service and Government guidance on CV19,  the Captain concluded by wishing them all a safe and happy Christmas with their families.

Captain Jordan said “Next year is going to be even busier for the Royal Navy and HMS Collingwood as we start Phase 1 training here and the Naval Service remains committed to operations in the UK and globally.

Everyone must act responsibly over their leave and return refreshed for training next term when we will continue to manage it through CV19." She also thanked them for their efforts this term and re-iterated that successes this term did not give any room for complacency.

HMS Collingwood will have a staggered return to work and training throughout January and commences Phase 1 recruit training from 11 Jan 21
