RFA Tiderace Sea Cadet Liaison Officer, Third Officer Steven McCubbin, recently hosted Falmouth and Penryn Sea Cadet Unit, led by PO(SCC) Fran Mitchell.

RFA Tiderace is currently alongside at Falmouth Docks nearing the completion of a detailed customisation and enhancement package, before entering service with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary later this year.

This was a return visit for some of the cadets as they had previously visited Tiderace late last year when the ship arrived in the UK.

PO Fran Mitchell commented, "It is quite striking how different the ship looks after being fitted out and the amount of hard work that has gone in to getting the ship ready for service".

3/O Steven McCubbin added, "The RFA is strongly affiliated with Falmouth and the TS Robert Hichens. Therefore, it was a pleasure to receive a visit from the Falmouth and Penryn Sea Cadets who were able to tour one of the RFA's new state of the art Tide class vessels".
