HMS Westminster’s swimming team took to the water on Tuesday 18 Oct 16 in a Flotilla competition. They took a close second behind HMS Nelson’s UPO team.

The event took place at HMS Temeraire where six members of HMS Westminster’s crew swam in multiple races of varying disciplines. Although the team were two members short, everyone put in a bold performance swimming strokes that they would not normally do to accrue points for their team and their Ship.

“All swimmers competed in gutsy swims, out of their usual comfort zones” said LWtr Sarah Feltham – Team Captain.

In the end, HMS Westminster took 6 medals, 5 gold and 1 silver.  They may have been the smallest team at the competition but they certainly were not the quietist!
