This was, despite the cold and pain of submerging yourself in freezing seawater, surprisingly enjoyable

All agree that after the initial cold shock of Surf Bay’s beautiful waters the experience was refreshing and presented an opportunity to get involved with local people and donate to very worthy causes.

As 2/O (E) John Harrod states: “It would be fair to say we were all a little apprehensive whilst shivering in the chilly wind on Surf Bay beach, waiting for the signal gun to announce what we now know to be the most bracing shock of our lives.

This was, despite the cold and pain of submerging yourself in freezing seawater surprisingly enjoyable”.

Well done team!
