Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon

The 2016 Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon is taking place at Commando Training Centre, Lympstone on Wednesday 15 June, featuring personnel from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and the US and Dutch Marine Corps.

The event includes swimming, adaptive cycling and rowing and has two routes to choose from depending on individual abilities. The rehab triathlon is for men and women who are undertaking rehabilitation or who have been wounded injured or medically discharged.

Since its conception in 2012, the Royal Marines Rehabilitation Triathlon has gone from strength to strength. In 2015 the event boasted over 160 competitors, serving and veteran, male and female, representing a multitude of different injuries from the UK, USA, and the Netherlands Marine Corps.

There are now six classifications, with two different race distances.

The event has received some amazing support over the years from Hollywood actor Henry Cavill and the attendance of HRH Prince Harry in 2013.

Support for the event has been continually provided by The Royal Marines Charity, Help for Heroes Sports Recovery Programme and Castle Triathlon Series.
