Welcome to RM Commando Logistics Recruitment (CLR)

Located at RMB Chivenor, CLR has one gymnasium with a small internal indoor five-a-side court and surrounding gym area. A separate studio area, which accommodates a spinning studio, Dojo, climbing wall and squash courts is also available. We also have a full size 3G multi-use games area (MUGA) and an assault course.

Opening hours are given for the Wyvern Centre only.

What we offer you

Sports Halls

We're equipped with a gym ideal for indoor sports at RM Commando LR, including:

  • Football
  • Netball
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball

Other activities requiring a covered facility can also be comfortably accommodated.

The surrounding area of the gym is well equipped with fitness and training kit, including function fitness weights and free weights.

Indoor Courts

Our four squash court-sized areas are being utilised to provide access to a number of sporting activities:

  • One of the areas is being used as a squash court.
  • Another court is used as a Dojo and climbing wall area. Fully matted, it is ideal for judo and other martial arts as well as climbing activities for all abilities.
  • The third court is used as a spinning studio, offering 15 bikes for general use and classes.
  • The fourth court has been converted to an assault course and can be booked through the unit physical training (PT) instructor on the number above.

The fourth court is also actively seeking funding and we'd be delighted if any interested parties could make contact with us on the number given above.

Outdoor Areas

We're delighted to have a number of outdoor sports and training areas here. You could benefit from our 3G multi-use game area (MUGA) pitch, for example, which can be used for a range of activities.

We also have a bottom field which could be used for a number of team sports and fitness activities too, though this is presently in need of funding.
