Karting

Karting is the grassroots of motorsport, providing an excellent stepping stone for  all disciplines of motorsport, helping develop knowledge, reaction speed, concentration and build fitness.

Royal Navy Karting

We compete in the Armed Forces Karting Championship against the Army and the RAF, as well as several civilian associate teams. Held over six races, from spring to autumn, at some of the best kart tracks in the country, we're always competitive in the champs, enjoying recent successes.

Each round is a three hour endurance race with mandatory pit and fuel stops throughout, ensuring close working between drivers and mechanics.

With recent new investment we have been able to buy new equipment and karts, making us ever more competitive and are fortunate to be headed by drivers with years of karting experience, including at British Championship level.

Get involved

Getting started with karting with us is simple, and you can get time off from your duties by submitting an Admin Order to your Chain of Command to request time to represent the Navy in competitive sport.

You don't need to have raced before, but some mechanical skills will be useful and, if you just want to get involved as a mechanic and support the drivers, that is great too.

To get racing, you'll need a Motorsports UK race licence, which can be obtained on race days.

To get involved, just get in touch.
