The Royal Navy take on The University of Portsmouth in first event of its kind

Storyline: NavyFit

Thursday the 11th of May will see the Royal Navy go head-to-head with The University of Portsmouth in the RN v UOP Cup, the first ever event of its kind.

The competition will take place across a series of events throughout the day with the aim of enabling Royal Navy and University of Portsmouth sportspersons at development level to take part in fun and competitive sport.

Fixtures will be held across the University facilities, HMS Temeraire and HMS Collingwood.

Each fixture being played will contribute to the overall winner of the event in what is expected to be an exciting and competitive day. 

Competitors are encouraged to head over to HMS Temeraire for some food after their game and to support the other teams playing even if their event is on a different site. 

The boxing show will take place in the HMS Temeraire Fleet Gym in the evening and is set to be an exciting evening, not to be missed. 

Players from both the University and the Royal Navy from throughout the day are encouraged to come and support the boxing show in the evening. 

Please be aware that there will be limited parking during the day and evening. If players plan to travel separately, please may you make sure they are aware that they may have to park outside HMS Temeraire, where it is Pay and Display. This is free after 1800.
