Naval Outdoor Centre Germany

The Naval Outdoor Centre Germany (NOCG) is the Naval Service Adventurous and Challenging Activities Centre. Situated in the beautiful Allgäu area of Bavaria, Germany, its aim is to present challenges in adventurous activities and in doing so, expose personnel to risk in a controlled environment, in preparation for the demands of their operational working roles.

Attendees participate in winter and summer based activities over five day training packages that stretch comfort zones and tests mental and physical fortitude.

Needless to say, NOCG is a much sought-after and thriving asset that comprehensively underpins the development of the Service’s people and is vital in the development of the Moral Component of Operational Capability.

What NOCG Offers

We offer a wide range of Foundation Courses including for: canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking and trekking, as well as a fully loaded multi activity week that features an introduction to them all, with some klettersteig thrown in.

Whilst multi activity gives students a chance to sample all of the activities that the centre has to offer, our Foundation Courses provides more depth in an individual discipline, laying the bedrock to progress on to become an instructor.

Summer Activities at NOCG

Our summer program takes place from May to October each year.

They are provided across a number of disciplines, for all levels of abilities and proficiency in each:

There are also courses for Klettersteiging, (think "Go Ape" but on an exposed cliff face), and AT Proficiency Courses.
