NAVWARN No 79/22

1. The various Yellow Special Marks laid off Southsea Castle to mark the extent of the coastal works and assist to delineate the eastern extent of bathing areas have now been again re-sited along the foreshore. 

2. The buoys have been laid in the following positions (see LNTM 35/22 for a diagram):

Lit Buoy 2 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.740N 001° 05’.635W
Lit Buoy 3 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.619N 001° 05’.445W
Lit Buoy 4 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.585N 001° 05’.270W
Lit Buoy 5 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.581N 001° 04’.985W
Swim Buoy 1 50° 46’.928N 001° 05’.837W
Swim Buoy 2 50° 46’.646N 001° 05’.001W
Swim Buoy 3 50° 46’.677N 001° 05’.014W
Anchor Buoy 50° 46’.921N 001° 05’.833W

3. Mariners are advised to navigate with particular caution in the vicinity and are not to navigate on the shoreward side of the marker buoys.

4. The following Portsmouth NAVWARNs remain in force: 72/22, 69/22, 67/22, 63/22, 42/22, 15/22, 71/20, 57/20, 44/20, 04/20, 15/19, 60/18, 75/17, 33/17, 27/14, 57/12 & 52/11.

5. Navwarn 78/22 is hereby superseded.
