FIREWORK DISPLAY HMS WARRIOR – 16 MAY 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that on Friday 16 May 2025, at approximately 2250, a short pyrotechnic display will take place from a Baker Trayte barge, held in the centre of the main channel off the stern of HMS WARRIOR. The firework display will last for approximately 10 minutes. 

2. The barge will be positioned in the centre of the channel, astern of HMS Warrior, just before the display, under control by Baker Trayte multi-cat “UNCLE BILL”, with the precise position dependent on the wind conditions on the day. An exclusion zone of 100 metres radius will be established around the barge for the duration of the display. 

3. KHM will establish a closed harbour period for all traffic (excluding Wightlink car ferries and fast ferry services and the Gosport ferry service, which are permitted to continue operations but will remain clear of the exclusion zone) for the display. This will be established on VHF Ch11. No large ships will be allowed to pass OSB or depart from Portsmouth International Port in the period 2200 to 2300. No vessels will be permitted to be underway in the exclusion zone area during the period 2230 to 2315.

5. Mariners are instructed to remain clear of this activity. A sécurité broadcast will be made by Portsmouth VTS prior to, and on completion of the event.
