UNCREWED UNDERWATER VEHICLE OPERATIONS 11-12 MARCH 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that Uncrewed Underwater Vehicle (UUV) operations will take place in Portsmouth Harbour on 11 and 12 March 2025.

 

2.  A UUV will be operated from a Royal Navy 15m Vahana workboat, ‘SWB01’, which will act as the host platform and provide safety oversight for the deployed vehicle.

 

3.    A short launch and recovery operation will be conducted at Whale Island on 11 March 2025. Further, on 12 March 2025 between 0900 and 1100, a UUV will be deployed and operating adjacent to South Railway Jetty. Vessels may adopt RAM during the launch, recovery, and operation of the vehicles. Mariners are requested to keep clear, at least 50m off the quayside, and pass slowly if in the vicinity of SWB01 and South Railway Jetty.

 

4. SWB01 will be listening on VHF Ch 11 and 16.

 

5. All vessels will obey the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) at all times.

 

6. Cancel this LNTM on 13 March 2025.
