MAINTENANCE DREDGING COLD HARBOUR

1.  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that routine maintenance dredging will be conducted by ML (UK) Dredging Ltd on behalf of the Royal Naval Sailing Association at Cold Harbour, located on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour from the 19 January 2023 with completion due by 14 February 2023. The works are being conducted 24 hours a day. 

2.  The vessels conducting this task are the “Witton II” or “Boxer” (Backhoe dredgers) which will display the appropriate signals from the COLREGS when conducting their operations.  Spoil from the dredging vessels is loaded into one of two self-propelled barges, “Split Two” or “Split Three” for disposal to the NAB Spoil Ground.

3.  KHM Harbour Control may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for the latest information. Their movements will be de-conflicted from other movements by KHM Harbour Control in the usual manner.
