PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 048/25

CATTEWATER PILOT GIG ROWING CLUB REGATTA – INFORMATION   

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020. 
    
2. The Cattewater Pilot Gig Rowing Club Regatta will be held on Saturday 5^th July 2025 starting at 1000 until approximately 1700.  
    
3. The races will start and finish on a line south of Mount Batten Breakwater and follow a course around Batten Bay and Jennycliff Bay. Red and blue cylindrical inflatable race marks will be laid in the vicinity of the course.
    
4. The event is being co-ordinated by Cattewater Pilot Gig Rowing Club and their safety craft will be in attendance throughout the event and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 14. 
    
5. All vessels are to manoeuvre in accordance with the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (ColRegs). Non-participants are requested to give the race and launch / recovery areas as wide a berth as is safe and practicable.
