PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 044/25
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION ON PORT ACTIVITY- DIRECTION
- This notice is a direction by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM), Plymouth in exercise of powers conferred by the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 for the purposes of the proper protection of the Port, HM vessels, dockyards and property. It is the requirement of KHM, accountable to the Secretary of State, to ensure the safe navigation of vessels both naval and civilian and for the safe movement of key Defence assets within Port limits.
- KHM directs that movement of all civil, merchant, commercial and recreational vessel is to be temporarily suspended in the Western part of The Sound, Cawsand Bay to the southern Port limit the area is indicated on the chartlet in Annex A. The temporary restriction are on multiple days as specified below:
- Thursday 26th June - 1300-1430
- Friday 27th June - 0830-0930 and 1430-1530
- Saturday 28th June - 0830-0930 and 1630-1730
- Sunday 29th June - 0830-0930 and 1430-1530
- The date of the temporary restriction will be advised by the KHM in the Daily Movements signal and will be announced by general broadcast daily on VHF Channel 14. KHM reserves the right to alter times and locations of closures by VHF Channel 14.
- KHM will not grant permission for diving or swimming in the reserved area as indicated on the chartlet in Annex A on the date and time of the periods of temporary restriction.
