PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 034/25

CATTEWATER DREDGING OPERATIONS- INFORMATION

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.
   
   
2. Dredging operations will take place within the Cattewater Harbour limits commencing 30 May for approximately 1 week. 
   
   
3. The works will comprise of dredging using Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) UKD Bluefin. The dredger will complete the works with disposal of material at Plymouth Deep (PL035) licensed disposal site:

4. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in dredging operations.
