PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 021/25

 

SEABED INVESTIGATION WORKS – INFORMATION

 

 

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.
   
   
2. Seabed investigation works in vicinity of the Mount Batten Watersport Centre pontoon will be carried out using a crane barge. From the 24 February 2025 for approximately two weeks.
   
   
3. Survey operations will be supported by:
   
   MS1 – Crane Barge
   Plym Catte – Port Tender
   
   
4. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch.14 and communicate with Longroom Port Control throughout.
   
   
5. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in surveying operations.
