PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 020/25 - INFORMATION   

MAINTENANCE DREDGING AT HMNB DEVONPORT  

  

1. This notice is issued for information by the King’s Harbour Master Plymouth.
   
   
2. In addition to dredging noted in PLNTM 015/25 maintenance dredging operations will take place at various places throughout HMNB Devonport, to commence on 25 February 2025 for approximately 4 Weeks.

3. The works will comprise Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) and Plough Dredging. With disposal of material at Plymouth Deep (PL035) licensed disposal site:

4. The following vessels will be utilised to complete the works:
   
   Shoalway - TSHD
   Obervargh - Plough vessel
   Neyland – Survey Vessel
   
   
5. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in dredging and surveying operations.
