PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 016/25

 

MOUNT BATTEN PONTOON - DIRECTION  

 

1. This notice is for Direction by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.  
   
   
2. Due to the presence of a potential hazard to navigation in the area off Mount Batten, an exclusion zone around the Mount Batten Water Taxi Pontoon (Approximate position 50° 21.66'N 004° 7.81'W) is now in force until further notice.
   
   
3. The zone measures 50m in all directions, centred on the pontoon structure.
   
   
4. Mariners are directed to remain clear of the exclusion zone. Vessels should pass the area at slow speed with minimum wash.   
   
   
5. The Navigation Lights with characteristics 2F.G (vert) may be inoperable and should be considered unreliable.
   
   
6. This PLNTM remains in force until further notice.
