PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 065/24 - INFORMATION

CATTEWATER DREDGING OPERATIONS – REISSUE

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.
2. Dredging operations are underway in the Cattewater Harbour Limits. Delays to operations will extend the work until 08 November 2024.
   
3. The works comprise of dredging using Back Hoe Dredger Doreen Dorwood and hopper vessels Nab and Needles. The dredger will complete the works with hopper vessels disposing of material at Plymouth Deep (PL035) licensed disposal site:

4. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in dredging and surveying operations.
5. This PLNTM cancels and supersedes PLNTM 060/24
