PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 063/24 - INFORMATION

DREDGING AT HMNB DEVONPORT

1. This notice is issued for information by the King’s Harbour Master Plymouth.
   
   
2. Dredging operations will be undertaken at various places throughout the Dockyard Port of Plymouth, including HMNB Devonport. Dredging will take place at various times between 1 November and 20 December.

3. The works will comprise Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD), Submersible Pump Dredging and Plough Dredging. With disposal of material at Plymouth Deep (PL035) licensed disposal site:

4. The following vessels will be utilised to complete the works:

   Causeway - TSHD

   Obervargh - Plough vessel

   Aramis – Survey Vessel

   Grey Bear ­– Multi Category Work Boat
   
   

5. Appropriate shapes will be displayed as required by International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Mariners are requested to pass at a safe distance and minimise wash when passing vessels engaged in dredging and surveying operations.
