PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 050/24

CADET CLASS NATIONAL AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS– INFORMATION

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020.
   
   
2. The Cadet Class Dinghy national and world championships will be held between Saturday 27th July and Saturday 10^th August.
   
   
3. The race’s will be held in Plymouth Sound, Cawsand Bay and South of the Breakwater, depending on the conditions on the day. The Event will be based at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre.
   
   
4. The event is being co-ordinated by the UK Cadet Class Association and their safety craft will be in attendance throughout the event. The race control will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 14.
   
   
5. Racing will be deconflicted with commercial/military traffic.
   
   
6. Further information can be sought from the race marshals or by contacting Longroom Port Control.
   
   
7. All vessels are to manoeuvre in accordance with the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Non-participants are requested to give the races as wide a berth as is safe and practicable.
