CATTEWATER HARBOUR – INFORMATION

REMOTE CONTROL MODEL POWER BOAT RACES – 13-14 JULY 2024

1. This notice is for information by the King’s Harbour Master (KHM) Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020 and is issued on behalf of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners.
2. There will be remote control power boat racing in the Cattewater on Sat 13 and Sun 14 July 24.The race area will be north of Mountbatten breakwater and peninsula, but south of the main channel, south of the small craft moorings, between the slipway and the Mount Batten pontoon (Approximate position 50°21.65’N 004°07.66’W). The launch / recovery area will be via the slipway to the east of the ferry pontoon.Blue race marks will be deployed to mark the route, and a safety boat will be in attendance monitoring VHF 14.
3. All vessels are to manoeuvre in accordance with the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea.Non-participants are requested to give the race and launch / recovery areas as wide a berth as is safe and practicable.
