PLYMOUTH LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS 042/22

RIVER PLYM - DIRECTION

WEST OF ENGLAND AMATEUR ROWING ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA – 23 JUL 22

1. This is a direction by the Queen’s Harbour Master Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020.

2. The West of England Amateur Rowing Association Championship Regatta will be held on the River Plym on Saturday 23 July 2022 starting at 1030. The start area and race course will be north of Laira Bridge.

3. The Water Events Diary 2022 gave early notice of the Rowing Regatta. This PLNTM gives information of timings and the course area and directs mariners accordingly.

4. Closure The waters of the River Plym north of Laira Bridge are closed to all water users not involved in the West of England Rowing Association Championship Regatta from 1030 – 1700 on 23 July 2022.

5. Only authorised craft are permitted north of Laira Bridge during the closure.

6. The event is being co-ordinated by Plymouth Area Rowing Club and their safety craft will be in attendance throughout the event.

7. The nearest alternative high-speed area is in Jennycliff Bay as shown on Admiralty Charts.

8. Cancel this PLNTM 24 Jul 22.
