CATTEWATER HARBOUR – REMOTE CONTROL MODEL POWER BOAT RACES

21-22 MAY 22 - INFORMATION

1. This Notice is published for information by the Queen’s Harbour Master Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 2020.

2. There will be remote control power boat racing in the Cattewater on Sat 21 and Sun 22 May 22. The race area will be north of Mountbatten breakwater and peninsula, but south of the main channel, south of the small craft moorings, between the slipway and the Mount Batten pontoon. The launch / recovery area will be via the slipway to the east of the ferry pontoon. Blue race marks will be deployed to mark the route, and a safety boat will be in attendance monitoring VHF 14.

3. All vessels are to manoeuvre in accordance with the International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Non-participants are requested to give the race and launch / recovery areas as wide a berth as is safe and practicable.

5. The timings for the races are as follows:

Saturday 21 May 22 1000-1600.
Sunday 22 May 22 1000-1600.
