GARELOCH - SURVEY OPERATIONS AT 7N & 8N BEACONS

Notice

1.Mariners are advised that Aspect Survey vessel "Coastal Sensor" will be carrying out a bathymetric survey at both 7N & 8N Beacons in the Gareloch.

2.This work will take place between the 12th &16th August 2024.

3.Please see the below extract from British Admiralty Chart 2000, outlining the survey locations. The bathymetric survey will be conducted 30 metres around each structure. 

 

4.Please see below Survey Vessel "Coastal Sensor"

5. The appropriate visual signals/navigation lights will be displayed by "Coastal Sensor" to indicate Restricted Ability to Manoeuvre. All vessels navigating in the area are to maintain a safe distance and operate at reduced speed with due regard to the effects of wash.
