FISHING IN THE CLYDE DOCKYARD PORT

  1. Mariners are advised that vessels engaged in fishing within the Clyde Dockyard Port must at all times comply with the provisions of the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (IRPCS) 1972 and KHM General Direction 10/22.
  2. Under the powers of the Clyde Dockyard Port of Gareloch and Loch Long Order 2011 and the Harbours, Docks and Piers Act 1847, the King’s Harbour Master reserves the right to remove, without notice, any obstruction which may impede safe navigation within the Dockyard Port. The cost of any such removal will be recovered from the owners, where identified.
  3. Any creels laid must be adequately marked at each end by buoys in accordance with the Marking of Creels (Scotland) Order 2020. The riser buoys must clearly display the name of the fishing boat that has laid the gear. Creels must not be laid in the approaches to berths, piers, jetties, marinas or anchorages.
