FAM - We need your views.

Help shape your future accommodation – we need your views!
The FAM Team want to talk to Service personnel, spouses, partners and families about your experience of the FAM pilot at RAF Wittering, Aldershot Garrison and HMNB Faslane. Whatever your rank, current accommodation type, and whether you’re eligible for FAM or not - every view is important!
Your responses will directly impact the future accommodation policy of the UK Armed Forces.
The more people who participate, the better the evidence we have to create a credible future accommodation offer.
“FAM provides our personnel with wider choices in their living arrangements to best suit their own and family circumstances.  There is still an opportunity to mould FAM to make it better suit all of us.  These conversations will allow you to voice your thoughts, suggestions and concerns and should be grasped by as many of you as possible.” - Cdr Stu Currie, Base Executive Officer, HMNB Clyde
Your responses will only be used by the FAM Team and will not be shared with anyone in your Chain of Command.  Any findings used in reports will be anonymous.
To do this we will be undertaking 3 research activities:
  • Large audience conversations, sessions will be held on:
    • 04/10/2021 @ 2pm – Service personnel
    • 05/10/2021 @ 2pm – Service personnel
    • 06/10/2021 @ 6pm – Service personnel spouses / partners
    • 1-1 discussions (similar to an interview) with a researcher
    • Focus groups (split by ranks)
How can I take part?
Email [email protected] with the following information:
  • Name
  • Service Number
Participation in this research is entirely voluntary.
The research will mainly take place during the workday – your participation during this time should be supported by your Chain of Command.
