Celebrate Diwali with the Defence Hindu Networks Diwali Rangoli Competition.
The Defence Hindu Network (DHN) invite you all to join in this year's Diwali celebration by creating and sharing Rangoli designs.
Rangoli is an Indian art form where patterns are created on the floor using materials such as rice flour, chalk, flower petals, grains or other natural materials made of vegetable dyes. If you don't have any of the materials, don't worry, you can always draw your design or be creative with other materials!
The competition is open to all ages and abilities and can be an individual or family effort. The winning design will be chosen by Network champion Rear Admiral Hodgson.
The competition is open to all and there will be a separate winner chosen for non DHN members, so do share this with friends and family, whether Hindus or not, to try and get as many people as possible involved. Ask friends and family to post their designs themselves on social media and to tag @defencehindu on twitter or @DefenceHinduNetwork on Instagram using #DefenceHinduRangoli.
Send your pictures to the DHN group mailbox AFNetworks-Hinduemail@example.com, DM to the network’s Instagram or twitter or tag them in your post and add the #DefenceHinduRangoli
The competition will close at the end of Sunday 15 Nov
and they look forward to seeing everyone’s designs.
Remember to get friends and family involved!
