Free 12 month access to Headspace app for Service Families
Launches 4th November 2020
The value that families add to Service life cannot be overstated.
Their efforts to sustain domestic stability, enabling personnel to focus on delivering operational capability are hugely important and widely recognised.
What is also clear are the challenges associated with Service life that families face, encountered regularly through the work of the Naval Families Federation (NFF) and Royal Navy Family and People Support (RN FPS).
In trying to improve the lived experience for Service families, the NFF, supported by RN FPS, have bought 3000 licenses to the commercial mindfulness application ‘Headspace’ as part of a twelve-month pilot.
In addition to the online
HeadFIT tool that has been designed for Defence Personnel, up to 3000 RN regular and reserve Service families will have free access to Headspace until all licenses are exhausted; priority being, those families most receptive to this support due to the effects of Service life, and most likely to make full use of it.
To ensure that Headspace reaches the widest possible audience, there is a limit of one license per serving person’s family, i.e. one application per Service Number, and the registration form is open now.
