As our children won’t be able to change books on their colour bands at home how about joining the “Oxford Owl” reading site (parents can join free!). There are a number of ebooks on there that the children will be used to like Biff, Chip and Kipper books. They also do interactive games and activities for reading comprehension and this is all FREE!

During this activity, you will be watching clips from Harry Potter movies, answering questions from the clips, heading into Gringotts where you’ll have to figure out the exchange rate between sickles and galleons, figure out how to do different spells and much, much more!

Duolingo have launched Duolingo ABC, a new app to teach children ages 3-6 how to read! Featuring 300+ fun, bite-sized lessons teaching fundamental reading and writing skills.
 
A few details:
 
Duolingo is 100% free, with no ads or in-app purchases.
The app is being released early to help parents and kids who are home schooling in light of COVID-19.

RSPB Wild Challenge
 
The Wild Challenge is the RSPB’s online bank of over 30 fun and engaging activities which teaches children about the natural world. Ranging from bug hotels and bird boxes to making a compost heap and drawing wildlife, participants can then log their achievements on to the RSPB Wild Challenge website and collect bronze, silver and gold awards for free.

STARTING THIS WEDNESDAY – CALLING ALL CHILDREN
 
On Wednesday 22 April at 6.30pm, school pupils, families and school staff are all invited to get involved with singing/playing outside your house.
