Festival Of Learning - HMS Drake 23rd October 2019

The Learning & Development Hub are holding their annual Open Day between 1000 and 1400 on Wednesday 23 Oct at the Hub (formerly the Education and Resettlement Centre).

This event has some 30 learning providers on hand to promote their courses and development opportunities and is open to Service personnel and their dependants as well as Civil Servants and others within the Naval Base.

As well as a range of Higher Education providers there is a focus this year on shorter, more vocational courses which can be easily supported through Standard Learning Credit funding.  Amongst these providers are local colleges and schools covering subjects such as cookery skills, photography and creative arts, health and social care, information technology, childcare, business skills and construction trades – certainly something for everyone.

Confirmed attendees include: Plymouth University, Peninsular Medical School and MarJon University, Cornwall, South Devon and City Colleges, Achievement Training Limited, Atlantic Language School, Cable Telecommunications Training Services CTTS, SSG Training and Consultancy, Wessex Business School, Blue Screen IT, Nuco Training, Marine Society, The Workers’ Educational Association, Ashburton Cookery School as the Open University.

So please invest a little time in your own learning and come in to see what opportunities are available to you.

If you require further information or are a dependant without your own pass to the base please contact 01752 557597/555300/555362
