Family bereavement

Hi there was trying to find out some information on a family bereavement if they get time off my sons grandmother has just passed away . He has just finished his phase 2 training so I wasn’t sure how it works if he gets time off or not,any help would be much appreciated thaks

    Good evening.
    Condolences to your family.
    Generally time off for bereavement is limited to immediate next of kin.
    That said, if he speaks to his Divisional Senior Rate / Officer - there may be scope for letting him go. No promises here.
