The Helping Armed forces Loved Ones (HALO) Seek Mental Health Treatment Study

• Worried about the mental health of your armed forces loved one (currently serving or veteran)?
• Worried about the effect of your loved one’s mental health on your own wellbeing?
• Want to know how to get your loved one to seek help for their mental health?

Help for Heroes and the King’s Centre for Military Health Research invite you to take part in the HALO study which will test two different ways of helping you to support your armed forces loved one to seek help for their mental health. In both interventions, you will learn about how you can help yourself and your loved one.

We want to understand how people like you respond to each intervention, and whether they affect your wellbeing and the relationship between you and your armed forces loved one. We would also like to know whether giving you information about how to encourage your loved one to seek help affects their help-seeking behaviour.

If you might be interested in participating, please contact the Hidden Wounds team confidentially between 0900 – 1700 on 0808 2020144 (free from UK landlines), by email hidden.wounds@helpforheroes.org.uk , or through the contact form which can be found at https://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/get-support/mental-health-and-wellbeing/hidden-wounds-service/
