Deployment Support for Children - Memory Boxes

If you have children and a loved one deployed or away from home for service reasons, RNRMW now have 'Memory Boxes' which can be used by a child to keep items in, such as photos, postcards, school work, art work, poems ... the list is almost endless, that they can then give to their loved one when they return home.
The boxes are plain white which means your child can also decorate the box as they choose.
If you would like one of these boxes, please contact Denise Mitchell, RNRMW Information Officer on 01935 455107 or email navynps-peoplesptrnrmwio08@mod.uk.
The boxes may not be able to be posted so if it can be picked up from either the RNRMW office or Tall Trees Community Centre that would help - they will also be available at the RNRMW stand at Station Families Day on the 30th May... Come over and say 'hi'.

Over the last couple of months a few of these 'Memory Boxes' have now been handed out to families with a service person deployed and RNRMW would be very interested to hear any feedback about these. If you are willing to drop us a line to give us an idea on how these boxes have been used by the children, what items they have wanted to put in the box for safe keeping and how the boxes have been decorated, that would be great and very useful in order to gain further funding for these. If you have any pictures that would be even better!
Please send any comments and/or pictures to navynps-peoplesptrnrmwio08@mod.uk
