Extended Free Childcare to 30 hours per week

With effect from 1st September 2017, the government will be introducing an extension to the current entitlement of 15 hours free childcare per week (for 38 weeks of the year) for children aged 3 & 4 years - to 30 hours per week for eligible children.
To qualify, both parents must be in work, including self-employment, expect to work at least 16 hours per week and earn no more than £100,00 each per year.
Childcare establishments must be signed up to offer the extended hours of free childcare.
If you currently qualify for the 15 free hours in an MoD-provided setting and wish to apply for the extended hours you must complete the Annex A on 2017DIN01-122 available on the Defence Intranet.
For more information and for all other non MoD-provided settings applications for the extended hours, please see the Childcare Choices website.
