Armed Forces Bereavement Scholarship Scheme

The Bereavement Scholarship Scheme is available to provide University and Further Education Scholarships for the children of Service Personnel whose death has been attributed to Service since 1990. 
 
You can apply for help with the costs of further education or university is ALL of the following apply to you:
  • One of your parents died whilst serving in the Armed Forces
  • You or a surviving parents are currently receiving bereavement benefits under a MOD attributable benefit scheme
  • Your parent died on or after 1 January 1990
  • Your're 16 or over and in full-time education including qualifications below English Level 3 and Scottish SCQF Level 6
  • You must be due to start or have started the Further Edication (FE) course either while still in compulsory education or within 3 years from finishing school education
  • For Higher Education you must be due to start or have started the Higher Education course within 3 years of finishing Further Education
