Option 1 - Outside of UK

If circumstances should arise, whilst your relative is deployed overseas that make it necessary for you to apply for his or her return home on compassionate grounds, such as a death in the family or a  serious illness , you should contact:

The Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre (JCCC) on +44(0)1452 51 99 51

The JCCC is staffed 24 hours a day including weekends and bank holidays.

JCCC - MOD ICE App

A JCCC App, called ‘MOD ICE’, is available to provide a very simplistic ‘Click and Call’ facility that will direct the user to the most appropriate organisation if they are faced with a family emergency.

Option 2 - Within UK

If circumstances should arise, whilst your relative is serving ashore in the UK or within UK waters, that make it necessary for you to apply for his or her return home on compassionate grounds, such as a death in the family or a serious illness, you should contact:

8am to 4:30pm Mon to Thu and 8:30am to 4pm on Fri, with the exception of recognised public holidays.


The RNRM Welfare Emergency Out of Hours provision can be accessed via the relevant Officer of the Watch or Royal Marines establishment as appropriate.
