Are you capable of passing Recruit training to earn the prestigious Green Beret of the Royal Marines Commandos? The RMR London is a Unit of fit and self motivated men who have all achieved this and men who are currently training to do so.
By joining us in initial training we will help you develop yourself physically, grow in confidence and develop skills you can take back into your workplace. As a Commando you'll learn increasingly challenging military skills as we teach you to survive in environments as diverse as the Jungle and the Artic. You will develop specialist qualifications and be trained to handle and fire a variety of weapons.
Joining Requirements:
- Be male aged 17-32 (over this age on a case by case basis will be considered if you have suitable previous military experience).
- Have a good level of basic fitness.
- Be able to commit to training on one evening per week, some weekends (1or 2 per month in training) and two weeks per year (2 x 2 weeks while in training).

PRESENTATION EVENINGS / WEEKENDS
Presentations are conducted at RMR London HQ (Bermondsey SE16 4AN) on the First Wednesday of each month. You need to arrive at 1915hrs. The presentation takes 1 hour with the opportunity to ask questions and meet recruits in training.
Weekend Presentations are conducted on the First Saturday of the month between 1100-1500 at RMR HQ, London. There will also be an introduction to RMR physical training so bring you sports kit!
The RMR Presentation gives you detailed information on the Royal Marines Reserve, when and how you join, information on training and what life in the RMR involves including operations and exercises.
GRASPAN TROOP (Holding Troop)
Once you have attended a Unit Presentation you are able to join Graspan Troop. You will join Graspan Troop until the next Recruit Training intake begins at the start of the year in January. In Graspan Troop you will conduct physical training in the gym and low level military training including an introduction to weapon systems.
