HMS Sherwood (Nottingham)

HMS Sherwood is the Royal Naval Reserve unit associated with Nottingham.

Add to favourites

Located in the Beechdale area, near the city centre of Nottingham, HMS Sherwood provides a venue and focus for RNR training and activity in the East Midlands.

Nottingham may seem like an unlikely setting for an outpost of the RNR, the city is over 50 miles from the coast and it is better known for its legendary longbow man than its gallant seafarers, nevertheless Reservists have been flying the White Ensign in the East Midlands for over 50 years.
