The lastest HMS Grimsby is the second ship to bear the name. She is the eighth of the Sandown class of single role mine-hunters to be built. The ship was launched by her sponsor, Mrs Candy Blackman on the 10th August 1998 and was accepted into Royal Naval service in 1999.
HMS Grimsby has battle honours from Greece, Crete and Libya all in 1941.
